Our Cabinetry offerings
There are 2 types of construction for cabinetry. Traditional Framed Cabinetry and European
Frameless. All cabinets consist of a box. In framed cabinets, the box has a face frame attached to the
front. The hinges and doors will be screwed to the frame of the cabinet.
Frameless cabinets do not have a face frame, the hinges attach directly to the side of the cabinet.
The following is a list of things to consider when selecting the type of construction for your
project. The vertical spaces between doors on framed cabinets is never less than 1/2 inch, and often
1 inch or greater. On Frameless cabinets, it's 1/8 inch. The width of the interior of the drawer boxes
on Frameless cabinets is typically 2 inches wider due to the space the frame takes.
Most modern contemporary kitches use Frameless for the clean, crisp lines and tight margins.
